Human beings thrive with connection, particularly with their loved ones. Our focus when working with families is to improve that connection and increase understanding. Families frequently find themselves treating their loved ones as if they were strangers. How does that happen? Many times, it can be due to a high level of expectations to uphold family morals, obligations, and responsibilities. Unfortunately, this can overshadow the level of intimate connection preferred by all members of the family.
Family Therapy looks different for every family that takes part in it. It used within a variety of family structures as well as to work through a variety of different scenarios. Family Therapy can be just one individual or it can be multiple generations. It can be a parent and a child. It can even help with: "My family is different from me and I just need help handling everything that comes with that". This type of therapy is unique to each family's needs, and our therapists are trained to meet you right where you are.
